Stickman Dragon Fight is an arena fighter where stick-figure warriors borrow the look of anime energy battles: they fly around the screen, trade combo strings up close and fire ki beams from across the arena. It is built by Bazooka 2020 and plays in the browser with nothing to install.

If you came to Super Smash Flash for fast, keyboard-driven fights, this fits the same habit. The difference is the flavour. Instead of knocking rivals off a platform, you are wearing down a health bar with a mix of melee hits and special attacks, and you can choose a 1 vs 1 duel or a 3 vs 3 team match.

How to play

Movement is on A and D. Space is your basic attack, and tapping it repeatedly chains a combo. Four skills sit on W, S, F and Q, and each one goes on cooldown after use, so you cannot simply hold a button down. R triggers your ultimate, B raises a guard, and Z transforms your fighter mid-round.

A round is a rhythm of closing distance, landing a combo, then backing off while your skills recharge. Because the beams cross the whole screen, staying far away does not make you safe.

Tips

1. Use the guard when the opponent starts a skill, rather than holding it constantly.
2. Fire skills in the gaps between combos so they are ready again when you need them.
3. Learn what each key does in a 1 vs 1 match before you try the busier 3 vs 3 mode.

It suits quick sessions on a keyboard, since the key layout uses a lot of the left side of it. A phone is not a good fit, because there are too many separate buttons.
