Bouncy Basketball is a basketball game with the rules turned into physics. You do not run, dribble and pass; you control a round, rubbery character that bounces around the court, and the aim is to bounce, jump and knock the ball into the hoop before the other side does. That makes it a different kind of sports game from the fighting games that fill most of Super Smash Flash. How to play

A round is a contest for the ball. You position yourself under it, jump to meet it, and try to send it toward the hoop while keeping your opponent away from it. Because everything bounces, the ball rarely goes where you first expect, so watching it for a moment before you commit often beats leaping straight at it.

Tips

• Do not jump the instant the ball appears. Let it settle into a predictable bounce, then time your jump to meet it on the way up or down.
• Stay between the ball and your own hoop when you are behind. A defensive position costs you little and stops easy points.
• In two-player matches, agree on the keys first. Arrow keys and WASD sit close together, and it is easy to hit the wrong cluster.
• If the controls seem dead, click the game frame once to give it keyboard focus.
